Full service contracts

In HsM customers can be assigned full service contracts for each effective service area. Full service contracts are used to determine which service will be available free of charge for this user and are for example used in service requests.

The possibility to manage free service periods for a customer is bound to the capability DEVICE_SERVICE_REQUESTSFull service contracts of a customer can be viewed by users with VIEW_CUSTOMER permission. Full service contracts can be modified by users with the EDIT_SERVICE_SETTINGS permission.

Full service contracts are individually configured for each customer and never propagated via customer relations.

The list of full service contracts for a customer can be externally managed (i.e. via the synchronization API) or can be managed from within HsM. I.e. either all full service contracts are externally managed or all are internally managed; if a customer's full service contracts are externally managed no full service contract can be edited in HsM and no new full service contracts can be added for this customer within HsM.

If a service area is deleted all full service contracts that are bound to that service area will also be deleted.
