Resellers are specifically designated customers that can be the ancestor within a reseller relationship. Multiple features in HsM will only relate to resellers.
Users with permission DEFINE_RESELLERS can promote a regular customer to a reseller. Once promoted to a reseller a customer cannot be demoted again.
