With customer deletion, a customer (including all customer data and associated data) can be physically removed from HsM. Customers that were deleted can therefore not be restored within HsM.
Customer deletion is bound to the permission DELETE_CUSTOMERS.
Following restrictions apply:
•Only customers in status Deleted (i.e. customers that were soft-deleted before) can be deleted.
•Customers that are ancestors in a customer relationship cannot be deleted. I.e. only customers that have no descendants can be deleted.
•Customers marked as externally managed can only be deleted via the Synchronization API.
•Customers marked as not externally managed can only be deleted via the Standard API.
