HsM Reference Manual

The Client Service supports searching assigned customers with a full-text search. I.e. a client can list all assigned customers matching a given search pattern. Following customer attributes are included in the full text search: Customer number, Customer Code, Name 1, Name 2, Name 3, Name 4, Address 1, Address 2, City, Postal code, ISO 2-Letter Country Code.

The Client Service will take the search pattern provided and will split it up (by blanks) into single search-words, double quotes (") will be removed from the search pattern. Search words that do not contain at least one letter or digit will be ignored. Valid letters and decimal digits are members of the following categories in Unicode categoryUppercaseLetter, LowercaseLetter, TitlecaseLetter, ModifierLetter, OtherLetter, or DecimalDigitNumber.

Only customers where each of these search-words can be matched to one of the customer attributes listed above will be part of the search result.

The matching of a search word to a customer attribute is done with a starts-with operator, i.e. for a customer to match the search word one of the customer attributes has to start with that search word. E.g. the search word Smith would match customers with name Smith , Smither , and Smith Corp .

The full text search is case insensitive. E.g. the search- word Smith matches customer with name smith and Smith . So the search-word smith would yield the same results as the search-word Smith .
