Effective device documents is the superset of the device documents of a specific device and the the device-type documents of that device's device type.
Effective device documents are bound to the capability DEVICE_DOCUMENTS.
The effective device documents for a specific device are the documents associated directly with that device and those defined for that device's device-type at the closest reseller (i.e. the closest reseller on the on the customer's inclusive reseller relationship path) that has at least one device-type extension document for that device-type.
The VIEW_DEVICES permission is required to view the effective device documents associated with a device. The VIEW_DEVICES_RESTRICTED permission is additionally required to view any documents that are marked as restricted.
If the requesting client specifies a particular language, all documents whose language does not match the requested language are excluded from the effective documents. Links without a language specified remain included in the effective documents.
